Evangeline Lily mentioned it on Jimmy Kimmel. That's where I heard about it first, and though I initially tuned in to see what Lost secrets she would reveal, which she didn't, I don't regret tuning in or else I would not have learned about this environmentally friendly lipstick. Well, I wouldn't have learned about it as early.

What is it? An environmentally friendly lipstick called PlantLoveTM by Cargo
which is not tested on animals and contains no mineral oils or petroleum. The lipstick tube is 100 % biodegradable and made entirely from corn. The outer carton is made with biodegradable flower paper, filled with real flower seeds (similar to Pangea packaging). Simply moisten the carton, plant it and then wait for it to grow. The ingredients include: Orchid ComplexTMand Meadowfoam Seed Oil as well as Jojoba and Shea Butter which Cargo claims make the lipstick smooth and silky.

Because of these eco-friendly ingredients and eco-friendly packaging this innovative lipstick emits less greenhouse gases than others. Also two dollars of every shade sold will be donated to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

Quality of the lipstick? Does the lipstick last long? Are the colors pretty? Well, at 20 bucks a tube it's a little out of my budget to try and sample right now, but I did read reviews at online shopping sites to help me see what others think of it. There aren't many reviews, but the few that I found mentioned a long lasting smooth moisturizing lipstick. The only two cons I saw mentioned were: online colors swatches do not resemble the actual color you receive and the steep price of this green lipstick. Is it so expensive to make a green lipstick that Cargo must sell it at such a high price? That is the question. Click here for the best review I've read.
