Since we're still in early January, I'm sure the slackers among us (myself included) have neglected to replace their old calendars with the new and improved 2008 version. (Time? Who needs to keep track of time?) Well, if you haven't purchased one yet, here's your chance to jump on the 2008 bandwagon with the modernist medley of negative and positive space that is the Imbroglio Calendar.

I spy a 13...and maybe a dog?

Conceived by industrial designer Jean-Pierre Vitrac, this handy dandy perpetual calendar is powder-coated steel with screen-printed graphics. "Imbroglio" means "muddled" in French, and from a distance that's exactly what these black and red abstractions are. But slide the magnetic plastic circle around the current date and things start to take on a clearer shape.

These handy timekeepers can be found online at the London design shop twentytwentyone , and are available in desk or wall versions.

Just remember: It's on you to keep track of the "30 days hath September, April, June" rule, and all that business of knuckle-counting and what-not.
