Fiber Beer: Probably Not Coming Soon to a Restaurant Near You

Want to get drunk and improve an aspect of your health at the same time? It is a reality for Korean consumers who stumble across Exfeel-S, the nation’s alcoholic response to the common laxative.

Manufactred by the Hite company which is based in Korea, the product is advertised as a stylish and sexy beer infused with a fiber-filled boost. Considered a light premium beer, it’s advertising campaigns are definitely geared toward today’s youngest of age to drink generation, and this invention is intended to bring enhancement to the functions of the body (the fiber!) and the mind (the beer!). Exfeel-S stands for “excellent feeling” and the bottle itself is even ridiculously shaped to match the typical model figure we see so often on young women in the media spotlight. As if that weren’t enough, it also claims to be made with a “super attenuated brewing” (aka the SAB), which is a method used to shrink down on its calorie count.

But in a nation where innovation and design often comes before – well, tasting good! – only time will tell what the public’s reaction is to such an odd little beverage. So far, Exfeel-S’s marketing campaign is so strong, ads have been cropping up not only around Korea, but all over the Internet as well.

If you can read a little bit of English and a whole lot of Korean, you can check out the official website of the world’s most innovative beer, and perhaps figure out a way to have your first experience getting plastered from too much…fiber?

Beer, A wholesome, natural cereal based product. Now with High Fibre, it truly is an excellent food for breakfast.

Actually Pretty Good

I'm an Expat living in Korea, and they sell this beer at my local Sun-Mart. It's actually pretty good, and a refreshing change of pace to the much too sweet Korean beers.
