Easy Way to Password Protect Your Files

Computer Privacy: Password Protection with Files Folder Lock (Version 5.6.0)

I came across a cool looking program today that I feel is worth writing about. The software name "Folder Lock" pretty much sums up its purpose but it has a few more tricks up its sleeve that makes it even more compelling.

You just browse your computer or a specific folder for files you want to password protect, encrypt, scramble or hide and within a few minutes you’re done. Complete drives can be protected if you choose as well as portable media drives such as memory sticks.

This looks like a great tool to keep nosey children and roommates away from your personal data while you are away. Needless to say, this is also a security tool as advertised on the Folder Lock site. After all, if you don’t have the password you can’t get in. Even if your files are stolen it’s useless to the thief without the password. This looks like a very well respected application in the software community and the reviews appear authentic, so I think it’s worth a download.
