Verizon Teams Up With Rhapsody

In order to keep up with the constantly changing personalities of their mobile users, Verizon Wireless has announced it will team up with MTV Networks and RealNetworks to offer subscribers more choices.

By teaming up with a digital music service like Rhapsody, Verizon officials say their V CAST Music service will provide users access to five million songs on various devices.

Other new features include:

-         Being able to create and view playlists (including those created by others, especially celebrities).

-         The ability to burn, import and convert CDs to play anywhere.

-         The ability to manage an existing digital music collection for free and have the option of syncing it to your mobile phone.

In order to distinguish themselves from iTunes, V CAST will allow customers to download the master copy of songs and albums to their PC without any hassle.

The service is available now on phones such as the LG Chocolate3, LG Decoy, LG Dare, MOTO W755, Samsung SCH-u550, Samsung Glyde and the Samsung Juke.

For those that use another model, officials say users can bring their device into a Verizon Wireless Communications Store and receive a free software upgrade so they can access the service.
