The NISHI-KI keyboard is one of 5 exquisite, handmade typepads that boast beautiful, handmade decorative keys in a variety of eastern influenced styles. The NISHI-KI depicted here is arguably the most colorful yet remains relatively easy to read for those who tend towards hunt & peck.

The keyboard works with Windows XP, 2000 and Vista (sorry, Mac users) and features an 86-character board with the familiar QUERTY layout. Attachment to your PC is via PS/2 or USB so even your older comp can benefit from this “type” of makeover. The NISHI-KI and others in the lineup are also space efficient; just 5” (127mm) in depth.

wouldn't it have been simpler for them to have just made things to fit ontop of the original keyboards keys and then the customer can buy one each and mix and match for themselves for each key and more options for each key. That probably exists already too though, don't know. *shrugs*

It probably would have been cheaper, but then the manufacturer couldn't charge $155 each - plus the fact that these keyboards are being marketed to a demographic that will pay for quality, uniqueness and the pride of having a handmade item when few others do.
