Breckland Technology, a company based in the United Kingdom, has been building some impressive cars for a number of years. Recently, they decided it was time to put one on the market that held their own name and it is nothing short of a masterpiece.
The most surprising part about the new Beira is the platform it uses as a base. Breckland chose the Kappa (Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky) as the starting point but that is where the similarities end. For a powerplant, a 6.0L LS V8 was fitted into the engine compartment. It is rated to 400hp, but will most likely produce more. Power goes through a Tremec 6-Speed manual to the rear wheels. The combination will launch the 3000lbs car to 62mph in just shy of 5 seconds.
Breckland also revamped the interior, as you can see from the picture. It can be custom ordered to the liking of the future owner. They also decided a suspension upgrade was needed and thanks to the help of KW Suspension, they were able to design a much more sporty feeling into the platform.
Another point of interest is that since it is based on a platform that is currently in us in the US, there should be no real issue with bringing some to the stateside. The price to take one home is roughly $107,000.
