Splinter Cell Double AgentBack in October, I did an article on Splinter Cell: Double Agent for the Xbox 360. That game had great reviews from many different gaming sources when it launched. Now, the franchise has hit the PLAYSTATION 3 in full force. This great stealth game lets you have all the same action packed fun that was available on the Xbox 360, and more. You still get to step into the shoes of a spy named Sam Fisher, given the objective of infiltrating a terrorist group located in the United States and bringing it down from the inside. The stealth, action, story are equal to the Xbox 360, and the graphics are arguably better.
Elder Scrolls IV: OblivionAnother game that was out several months ago on the Xbox 360, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was released for the PLAYSTATION 3 last week. The game includes the Knight of the Nines expansion pack (for sale on Xbox Live) with the purchase, and promises to have downloadable content via Sony Online eventually. The game packs slightly better graphics than its Xbox 360 counterpart, letting you explore and combat in a more realistic and beautiful world than ever before. Though the content is very similar to that of the Xbox 360 version, the plus sides are that the game looks slightly better, the load times are significantly faster, and the controller feels more comfortable on the PLAYSTATION 3 than on the Xbox 360.
Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles In similar news, Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles released for the Xbox 360 and PC this month. Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles is an add-on to Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion game released last year for the console and PC. The expansion adds a whole new island to the game, as well as adding several new weapons, dozens of new creatures, and huge area of land to explore. The Shivering Isles comes in two forms, which are called Mania and Dementia. Mania is a portion of the world that is bright, colorful, and full of life. Here you'll see butterflies, areas full of colorful vegetation, and a smattering of new creatures. Dementia is a dark and creepy place, seemingly designed with the color black in mind. Everywhere you go blackness creeps in, feeling more like a death trap than a video game. Between the two different sections of Shivering Isles, the expansion adds a whole new dimension to the gameplay and brings a new level of interest to gamers who have already played Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The expansion also succeeds in making the game longer and better for the gamers out there who haven't played Oblivion before. Whether or not Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles is coming the PLAYSTATION 3 has still not been confirmed as of press time. The game is available for the Xbox 360 via Xbox Live and for the PC in stores.
Thist wraps up this month in the video game industry. Even though video games aren't being released in huge numbers this Spring, video game companies are still bringing some pretty high quality games to stores right about now. So if your bored and don't have anything to do outside, go take a look at these great games.

Submitted on May 8th, 2007 by Logan (not verified)i don't know wether i should buy a ps3 or xbox 360... in oblivion for xbox360 it's full of couler; but for ps3 there is like a gray mist over all of it making it look like they put less work in to the version (if you don't believe meen look at some comparisons). also xbox 360 got the shivering islands (and pc but computers suck) but ps3 didn't so i'm thinking xbox 360, so what do u think?
That's a good question. If
Submitted on May 11th, 2007 by Matt WoodThat's a good question. If you're looking for sheer content, Oblivion for the Xbox 360 has more of it. If you enjoy quality, I would go PS3. I say this because the D-Pad on the PS3 is much better for the quickmapping of the buttons (easier to change weapons/spells, etc.) and the game simply looks better. You may have seen screenshot comparisons, but I have seen both in full High Definition, and the two look almost identical with the PS3 being slightly more detailed. The fog that you see between comparisons is the settings on two different TV's during the time the photos are taken, not the actual game itself. Websites like to do this because they tend to favor one console or another, and actually intentionally do this to help one game look better than another. Brightness on a TV can cause this fog to show up for even the best looking games.
