Move over diamonds. Forget the rubies and emeralds. Shoes have always been a woman's best friend. Check out these gigantic shoes from around the world.

Artist John McNaughton has created giant wooden shoe sculptures as part of a project in the lobby of the Shoe Carnival headquarters, located in Indiana.
Wingtip Shoe
Most of the shoes are 6 feet long and 2 feet wide. The shoes are hollow and each weigh about 100 pounds. Each shoe took about 100 hours to create over a three month period.

The shoes get the most comments out of anything in the building at the headquarters of the Shoe Carnival.
But John McNaughton isn't the only one out there creating giant shoes. Check out this massive shoe art in Paris. It's made entirely out of the lids of pots and pans, while the heel is made out of pots. Looks like Cinderella lost her slipper once again!
Gigantic Shoe in Paris
There is also this gigantic shoe that was made of 300 men's and women's shoes. It is made of glass fiber reinforced plastic. It took three years to put this sculpture together.
I wonder what it smelled like....
Adidas recently made two giant shoes for a short promo film they were doing. Each shoe was painted by a street artist from the East Coast and West Coast. Called "The Left-Right Project", it is the first in a series of films that will be shown in the Spring and Summer.

I wish they would make a pair of giant socks to go with these giant shoes. Because a shoe just doesn't look right without a sock. And while they're at it, they might as well build a giant foot to go in that shoe. And they should make the foot all moldy between the toes. Why? Because we like watching gross things and yes, that would be pretty gross. Don't you agree?
