Is It A Shoe? Or A Sandal?

Would you ever be seen wearing a sandal with socks? Not me...but Alexander McQueen seems hell-bent on changing the rules of fashion. And pairing sandals with socks seems to be the place he has chosen to start.

At his recent Spring 2009 show, male models walked the ramp in golden, shiny, dress shoe sandals, with, hold your breath, grey socks!

I have to admit though, the idea doesn't seem so offensive, and the weird shoe/sandal combo looked okay.

But I was left wondering, was the creation an over-done sandal? Or an incomplete shoe?

Whatever it might be, I think the world of fashion needs to change a few rules to welcome innovations like these.

Don't go out on a wet night wearing these though...you'll end up with cold feet...literally.

It looks like what all the well dressed pimps will be wearing to the beach next year...

hm

wearing socks with sandals aint anything new. When I had sandals I have worn thin socks in them sometimes. That was years ago. This sandal is kinda ugly.
