With some determination and past personal experiences, a former college athlete and his wife have come up with an invention to help individuals who use cleats.

As we all know, cleats are specifically meant for the field and not for the road or inside a house. So to help prolong the lifespan of the shoe, Ricky and Marianne Kay have created the Cleatskin.

Made from SKINTEK rubber, the Cleatskins soles are a solution to protecting studs from wear and tear. Not only do they come in a variety of colours such as Kelly Green and Lemon Chrome, the soles are also washable and meant to keep grass and dirt out of vehicles.

Depending on the individual or their preference, the Cleatskins come in two different styles. The Sole fits around an entire shoe, while The Slide is easier for kids as it just slips right on like a sandal.

Even though the invention seems like its geared more towards kids who are active in community sports leagues, it’s actually meant for everyone. Cleatskins come in toddler, youth and adult sizes and will be available in the US this Fall in specialty athletic retail stores and online.
